Should I be scared? Or was he just a really nice guy trying to help a newer player? I got this game a week ago so I really hope its the latter and I'm not about to be BEANED, or he was trying to trade items and I scammed him.

I checked the ring and it's rank 150(which i didnt know was possible), 3 gem slots, legendary gems, and literally sets my damage from 300k to 40 MILLION, my armour from like 1 million to 400 MILLION. Modded gear is lame and the reddit community is not big on it. I'm a huge member of the dark souls community so picking up an item from a stranger probably should have immediately cut me. If you want to find legit players (not modders) to play with or help you out, I recommend asking over on r/d3ps4 - but be aware that asking for modded stuff is explicitly against the rules over there, so dont do it. So I started my first public game and some dude comes in and drops me a ring called ‟Lost.‟ I gave him a legendary sword spare as thanks.which he goes and unlocks a gem slot on it and gives it back? So I say thanks and then boot him out because he joined right as I was going to eat dinner.
